Kate Mably-UK
A childhood spent in the wilds of Cornwall on horseback, began my lifelong passion. I love people, horses, adventure and a challenge. My dedication to horses is close to my heart and forms the basis of all my teaching.
I'm committed to enabling everyone the ability to discover an exceptional relationship with their horse and the key to my success is working with, and understanding the horse’s natural instincts. Good foundations make these unique relationships so much easier for all our futures.
Angelika Schneider-Italy,3* Instructor in Parelli Naturalhorsemanship (PNH)
While growing up in the Alpine village of Lech am Arlberg in Austria, my father
would rent our stables to a man who collected refuse with a huge sledge pulled
by two Noriker draft horses. At the age of 5 years old I spent all the time I
could on the sledge so I could be as close to the horses as possible.
Since they could not get me away from the stables I was given a pony when I was 7 years old. At the age of 10 I attended boarding school but every minute I could I spent with the horses. We did amazing rides into the mountains and I had one of the most wondrous childhoods one could wish for. My pony was my friend and trusted companion. After school I moved to Italy to study architecture and shortly thereafter I brought my 2 horses from Austria to Tuscany. One of them has been with me since the day she was born and that was 28 years ago! In 1996 I bought a 4-year-old TB, Mimmi and that was when I first encountered trouble with a horse. I of course thought it was the horse that was the problem. I started her and at the beginning all went well. Shortly though she developed aggressive behavior and a lot of opposition reflexes. Actually, there was not one thing she liked to do. In April 1998 I heard there was a demonstration from someone called Pat Parelli close to where I live. It sounded interesting enough so I decided to attend. Well the rest is history. It opened a new world for me and changed my life profoundly. I always wanted to be able to work with horses as a profession but it was not until I went to Colorado in 2000 for a level 2 course with Pat that I knew I could make my dream come true. I set a goal for myself and in 2002 I resigned as a partner in an architectural firm and concentrated on my horsemanship. While working on my skills, I operated a trail riding business where I guided clients from all over the world on horseback throughout Tuscany. Since 2004 I have spent several weeks each year in one of the Parelli Savvy Centers in the US or the Uk. I have been an instructor since 2005. This is about continuos self improving and learning. I am travelling thruout Italy to teach clinics, workshops and private lessons. In my Facility I have every year several horses for starting and developing.I am proud to be part of this movement and being able to share this knowledge with students and horses all over the world.
